 Are you ready to take your training to the next level? We offer a wide variety of self-defense and tactical training to take you from a novice to an experienced shooter in no time. These classes are not for the first-time shooter and are designed to take your skills to an advanced level. Whether you’re just wanting to be prepared for any self-defense situation or your wanting to learn to be an operator like our law enforcement and armed forces, we have the training that you need.

CLASSES OFFERED:

Defensive Pistol 1 and 2-

Skill level: Moderate to Experienced
Cost: $35
Class info:
  • The Training will be two days (2 hours each day). Beginning at 6:30 PM and ending at 8:30 PM
  • All training will be held at the Spring Guns and Ammo Spring, TX location
Goal:
  • The class is designed to provide defensive skills and build muscle memory.
Skills Covered:
  • Right and Left single hand shooting.
  • Point shooting.
  • Multiple target shooting.
  • Moving targets
  • Walking while shooting.
  • Multiple mag changes
  • Hip shooting
  • Equipment Needed:
  • Firearm (available for rent if needed)
  • 100 rounds of ammunition (No steel or aluminum case ammo allowed)
  • Ear and eye protection
  • 2 magazines for the firearm

DEFENSIVE AR-

SKILL LEVEL: MODERATE/EXPERIENCED
COST: $35
CLASS INFO:
  • THE TRAINING WILL BE HELD ONE DAY (2 HOURS). BEGINNING AT 6:30 PM AND ENDING AT 8:30 PM
  • ALL TRAINING WILL BE HELD AT THE SPRING GUNS & AMMO SPRING, TX LOCATION
GOAL:
  • THE DEFENSIVE AR COURSE IS DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS PRACTICE USING A AR-15 STYLE RIFLE OR SIMILAR CARBINE IN SIMULATED DEFENSIVE SCENARIOS.
  •  STUDENTS WILL ENGAGE MULTIPLE TARGETS, ENGAGE TARGETS WHILE MOVING, AND PERFORM MULTIPLE RELOADS.  
  • STUDENTS WILL ALSO LEARN IMMEDIATE ACTION TO CLEAR ANY MALFUNCTIONS DURING THE COURSE.  
  • THE FIRST OF THE DRILLS FOR THE COURSE ARE AT THE FIRING LINE, ENDING WITH DRILLS BEYOND THE FIRING LINE (FOR SAFETY PURPOSES, THE STUDENT’S AR-15S WILL BE MOVED TO A TABLE AND GIVEN TO THE STUDENT BEFORE EACH EXERCISE)
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
  • EYE AND EAR PROTECTION
  • AR-15 OR SIMILAR STYLE CARBINE RIFLE
  • AMMUNITION – 100 ROUNDS (NO STEEL CASED OR ARMOR PIERCING AMMUNITION.  THIS INCLUDES GREEN TIP AMMO)
  • SIGHTS – IRON, RED DOT, OR OPTIC ACCEPTABLE
  • 2 MAGAZINES
  • STUDENTS MUST HAVE A WAY TO SECURE THEIR 2ND MAGAZINE TO THEIR PERSON  (A MAGAZINE HOLDER IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
  • RIFLE SLINGS ARE OPTIONAL

Long Range Shooting Course-

Skill level: Moderate/Experienced
Cost: $150.00 Per Student
Goal: To provide relevant long range shooting information and techniques in order to improve each shooters ability to make long range rifle shots.
Class Info:
  • The training will be one (1) day (5 hours), beginning at 8:00AM and lasting until approximately 12:30PM.
  • All training will be held at the Spring Guns and Ammo Outdoor Range in Magnolia, TX.
  • Shooters will be engaging targets from approximately 50 yards to approximately 600 yards.
Topics: The following will be covered in no particular order and as time allows:
  • Shooting position/Trigger press
  • Cold Bore shot
  • Zeroing rifle/Hold over/under using scope reticle
  • Getting dope out to 600 yards
(Topics may be adjusted to changes in enviorment, range conditions, and weather)
Equipment Needed:
  • A centerfire bolt action or semi-automatic rifle equipped with a variable power optical device (Scope) capable of dialing in ranges out to a least 600 yards. Scope will work best with a Mil Dot, Mil Radian (Mil Rad or Mil-R) or Horace reticle system.
  • Shooting bags
  • Bipod or backpack to lay rifle on for stability
  • 120 rounds of ammo (please keep the type of ammo to one specific manufacture and weight/grainage for the duration of course) for the rifle
  • Notebook and pencil or pen 
  • Small calculator
  • Spotting scope and range finder
  • Eye and ear protection 
  • Hat, sunscreen, chair and snacks as needed
PLEASE HAVE RIFLE ALREADY ZEROED FOR 100 YARDS BEFORE ATTENDING.
ABSOLUTELY NO ARMOR PIERCING AMMO ALLOWED. PLEASE LIMIT RIFLE CALIBER TO 30 CALIBER.  NO .223/5.56, .338, .416 OR .50.
The class works best with your own rifle. If you just want to try long range shooting we will have long range rigs to borrow (no additional cost except ammo).
Class size limited to 11 people.

Tactical AR-

Skill Level: Moderate/Experienced
COST - $75 per student
Class Info:  
  • The training will be one (1) day (4 hours), beginning at 1:00PM and lasting until approximately 5:00PM.
  • All training will be held at the Spring Guns and Ammo Outdoor Range, Magnolia, TX.
  • Shooters will be engaging targets from approximately 5 yards to approximately 200 yards.
Goal:
  • To provide relevant tactical shooting information and techniques to improve each shooters ability to make effective tactical rifle shots.
  • The practical AR-15/carbine class will show the intermediate to advanced shooter how to “run their gun” to fullest of their abilities.
  • The student will learn how to disassemble and reassemble their AR-15 style rifles. The principles of marksmanship and gun handling will be covered.
  • Students will shoot from a variety of stationary positions as well as shooting on the move.
  • Students will learn to use both their iron sights and optical sights (If attached).
  • Malfunction drills and transition drills will be stressed.
Equipment needed:
  • Eye and ear protection, hat, chair, sun screen, snack
  • Weapon systems can include AR-15, AK47, Mini 14 or SCAR platforms.
  • Pistol able to be secured in a holster.
  • A sling will need to be available for use on the rifle. Sling will be used during transition drills
  • 200 Rounds of rifle ammunition. 100 rounds of pistol ammunition. ABSOLUTELY NO ARMOUR PIERCING ANMMUNITION or STEEL CASED AMMUNITION
  • At least 2 rifle magazines. At least some way to attach 1 magazine to the shooters belt line or support leg.
  • Iron sight, EO Tech, Red Dot or Optical sight.

Defensive Shotgun-

Cost: $75 per class
Skill Level: Beginner/Experienced
Class Info:
  • The class will 2-3 hours in length and is limited to 10 people
  • Defensive Shotgun is a beginner to advanced shooter course that will teach shooters how to be in complete control of one of the most versatile firearms available today.
  • The class will cover function, presentation, shooting, reloading, manipulation and ammunition selection for the shotgun.
  • The effective distances for this weapon system will also be demonstrated.
  • This class is designed for the FIRST TIME shotgunner to the EXPERIENCED defensive oriented shotgunner.
Equipment Needed:
  •  Personal Shotgun (Pump or Semi Auto)
  •  50 rounds of 7/9 bird shot
  •  10 rounds of Buck shot
  •  5 rounds of slug
  •  Sling for shotgun (If you already have one. Do not need one to take class)
  •  ANSI rated Eye Protection: Hearing protection. Comfortable shoes
