DESCRIPTION:Defensive Pistol 3: Drawing from a Holster – Outdoor Range\nSkill Level: Students MUST have taken SGA’s Defensive Pistol Class.\nClass info: Class will be approximately 2 hours. All training held at SGA’s OUTDOOR RANGE – MAGNOLIA\, TX.\nTraining will instruct students how to draw from the holster and use live fire training exercises to advance shooters skills utilizing paper and steel targets. \nSkills Covered:\n• Hour 1 training for drawing from the holster – Open Carry (OWB Holster)\n• Hour 1 Drawing from holster Live fire exercises Open Carry (OWB Holster)\n• Hour 2 training for drawing from the holster – Concealed Carry (OWB or IWB Holster)\n• Hour 2 Drawing from holster Live fire exercises Concealed Carry (OWB or IWB Holster) \nEquipment Requirements:\n• ALL SHOOTERS MUST START WITH AN OWB HOLSTER IN HOUR 1.\n• Concealed carry pistol (Full\, compact or subcompact)\n• Magazine pouch (2 mags)\n• Open/Concealed carry holster (Bring both holsters if you have both)\n• (outside the waistband OWB) • (inside the waistband (IWB)\n• 125 to 175 rds. Ammo\n• Shirt/Jacket to cover pistol when it is in OWB/IWB holster – Concealed Carry\n• Eye and Hearing protection \nDescription of Training\nDuring the first hour Students will learn how to draw from an open carry\, OWB holster and be able to put fast and accurate rounds on a target from 2 yard to 10 yards. Immediate action and Emergency reload drills may/will be incorporated into the training cycle. During the second hour students will learn to draw from a concealed carry holster position from either and OWB holster or an IWB holster. Clearing the cover garment will be crucial to completing this phase of training. Immediate action and Emergency reload drills may/will be incorporated into the training cycle. \nA variety of paper and steel targets will be utilized in order to speed up the learning process and test shooter skills.

SUMMARY:Magnolia - Advanced Defensive Rifle
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Defensive AR\nSkill Level: Moderate to Experienced\nCost: $95\nClass Info:\n\nTraining will be two hours.\n\nGoal:\n\nThe Defensive AR course is designed to help students practice using a AR-15 style rifle or similar carbine in simulated defensive scenarios.\nStudents will engage multiple targets\, engage targets while moving\, and perform multiple reloads.\nStudents will also learn immediate action to clear any malfunctions during the course. The first couple of the drills for the course are at the firing line.\nAfter this\, the remaining portion of the class is performed beyond the firing line. For safety purposes\, the student’s AR-15s will be moved to a table and given to the student before each exercise.\n\n\nEvents Calendar \nEquipment Needed:\n\nEye and ear protection\nAr-15 or similar style carbine rifle\nAmmunition – 100 rounds (no steel cased or armor piercing ammunition. SUMMARY:Magnolia - 2-Gun Transition Training
DESCRIPTION:COST – $100 per student \nInstructor: Kris Mayfield – 28 years State and Federal Law Enforcement; Federal/State Certified Firearms Instructor Coordinator (FIC); Federal Firearms Instructor Training Program (FITP) National Instructor; 22 years in Special Operations Division\, Special Response Team (SRT) \nClass Info: The training will be one (1) day lasting approximately 2 – 3 hours. All training will be held at the Spring Guns and Ammo Long Rifle Range\, Magnolia\, TX. Shooters will be engaging targets from approximately 5 yards to approximately 200 yards. \nGoal: To provide relevant tactical shooting information and techniques to improve each shooters ability to make effective tactical rifle/pistol shots and transitions.  \n  \nThe practical AR-15/Carbine/Pistol class will show the intermediate to advanced shooter how to “run their gun” to the fullest of their abilities and transition to a pistol when circumstances dictate. \nThe training will cover the principles of Rifle/Pistol marksmanship and gun handling. \nStudents will shoot from a variety of stationary positions as well as shooting on the move. \nStudents will learn to use both their iron sights and optical sights of their rifle (If attached). \nMalfunction drills and transition drills will be stressed. \nEquipment needed: \nEye and ear protection\, hat\, chair\, sun screen\, snack \nWeapon systems can include AR-15\, AK47\, Mini 14 or SCAR platforms. (SLING ATTACHED TO RIFLE) \nPistol must be secured in a holster on the hip or waistband\, with extra magazines for Rifle and Pistol. \nA sling will need to be available for use on the rifle. Sling will be used during transition drills \n200 Rounds of rifle ammunition. 100 rounds of pistol ammunition.  \nABSOLUTELY NO ARMOUR PIERCING ANMMUNITION or STEEL CASED AMMUNITION \nAt least 2 rifle magazines (3 recommended)\, and some way to attach 1 rifle magazine to the shooters belt line or support leg.
