SUMMARY:Magnolia - 2-Gun Transition Training
DESCRIPTION:COST – $100 per student \nInstructor: Kris Mayfield – 28 years State and Federal Law Enforcement; Federal/State Certified Firearms Instructor Coordinator (FIC); Federal Firearms Instructor Training Program (FITP) National Instructor; 22 years in Special Operations Division\, Special Response Team (SRT) \nClass Info: The training will be one (1) day lasting approximately 2 – 3 hours. All training will be held at the Spring Guns and Ammo Long Rifle Range\, Magnolia\, TX. Shooters will be engaging targets from approximately 5 yards to approximately 200 yards. \nGoal: To provide relevant tactical shooting information and techniques to improve each shooters ability to make effective tactical rifle/pistol shots and transitions.  \n  \nThe practical AR-15/Carbine/Pistol class will show the intermediate to advanced shooter how to “run their gun” to the fullest of their abilities and transition to a pistol when circumstances dictate. \nThe training will cover the principles of Rifle/Pistol marksmanship and gun handling. \nStudents will shoot from a variety of stationary positions as well as shooting on the move. \nStudents will learn to use both their iron sights and optical sights of their rifle (If attached). \nMalfunction drills and transition drills will be stressed. \nEquipment needed: \nEye and ear protection\, hat\, chair\, sun screen\, snack \nWeapon systems can include AR-15\, AK47\, Mini 14 or SCAR platforms. (SLING ATTACHED TO RIFLE) \nPistol must be secured in a holster on the hip or waistband\, with extra magazines for Rifle and Pistol. \nA sling will need to be available for use on the rifle. Sling will be used during transition drills \n200 Rounds of rifle ammunition. 100 rounds of pistol ammunition.  \nABSOLUTELY NO ARMOUR PIERCING ANMMUNITION or STEEL CASED AMMUNITION \nAt least 2 rifle magazines (3 recommended)\, and some way to attach 1 rifle magazine to the shooters belt line or support leg. Pistol Holster and pistol mag pouch needed as well. \nIron sight\, EO Tech\, Red Dot or Optical sight for Rifle. \nPayment can be made in Cash\, by Check\, in Store or by calling SGA at 281-288-7000 \nRegister on line via the SGA website\, Training tab or Event Tab.
