DESCRIPTION:Defensive Pistol 3: Drawing from a Holster – Outdoor Range\nSkill Level: Students MUST have taken SGA’s Defensive Pistol Class.\nClass info: Class will be approximately 2 hours. All training held at SGA’s OUTDOOR RANGE – MAGNOLIA\, TX.\nTraining will instruct students how to draw from the holster and use live fire training exercises to advance shooters skills utilizing paper and steel targets. \nSkills Covered:\n• Hour 1 training for drawing from the holster – Open Carry (OWB Holster)\n• Hour 1 Drawing from holster Live fire exercises Open Carry (OWB Holster)\n• Hour 2 training for drawing from the holster – Concealed Carry (OWB or IWB Holster)\n• Hour 2 Drawing from holster Live fire exercises Concealed Carry (OWB or IWB Holster) \nEquipment Requirements:\n• ALL SHOOTERS MUST START WITH AN OWB HOLSTER IN HOUR 1.\n• Concealed carry pistol (Full\, compact or subcompact)\n• Magazine pouch (2 mags)\n• Open/Concealed carry holster (Bring both holsters if you have both)\n• (outside the waistband OWB) • (inside the waistband (IWB)\n• 125 to 175 rds. Ammo\n• Shirt/Jacket to cover pistol when it is in OWB/IWB holster – Concealed Carry\n• Eye and Hearing protection \nDescription of Training\nDuring the first hour Students will learn how to draw from an open carry\, OWB holster and be able to put fast and accurate rounds on a target from 2 yard to 10 yards. Immediate action and Emergency reload drills may/will be incorporated into the training cycle. During the second hour students will learn to draw from a concealed carry holster position from either and OWB holster or an IWB holster. Clearing the cover garment will be crucial to completing this phase of training. Immediate action and Emergency reload drills may/will be incorporated into the training cycle. \nA variety of paper and steel targets will be utilized in order to speed up the learning process and test shooter skills.

DESCRIPTION:Advanced Defensive AR\nSkill Level: Moderate to Experienced\nCost: $95\nClass Info:\n\nTraining will be two hours.\n\nGoal:\n\nThe Defensive AR course is designed to help students practice using a AR-15 style rifle or similar carbine in simulated defensive scenarios.\nStudents will engage multiple targets\, engage targets while moving\, and perform multiple reloads.\nStudents will also learn immediate action to clear any malfunctions during the course. The first couple of the drills for the course are at the firing line.\nAfter this\, the remaining portion of the class is performed beyond the firing line. For safety purposes\, the student’s AR-15s will be moved to a table and given to the student before each exercise.\n\n\nEvents Calendar \nEquipment Needed:\n\nEye and ear protection\nAr-15 or similar style carbine rifle\nAmmunition – 100 rounds (no steel cased or armor piercing ammunition. SUMMARY:Magnolia – Basic Long Range Shooting
DESCRIPTION:Cost:\n$200 Per Student \n\nTraining Address:\nAll training will be held at the SGA Outdoor Range. \n40605 Marian Ln.\nMagnolia TX 77354 \n\nInstructor:\nKris Mayfield \n\n28 years State and Federal Law Enforcement\nFederal/State Certified Firearms Instructor Coordinator (FIC)\nFederal Firearms Instructor Training Program (FITP) National Instructor\n22 years as Special Operations Division\, Special Response Team (SRT) member\n15 years as SRT Forward Observer (Sniper) and FO Instructor\n\n\nClass Info:\nThe training will be one (1) day (4 hours)\, beginning at 8am and lasting until approximately 12:30pm. All training will be held at the Spring Guns and Ammo Long Rifle Range\, Magnolia\, TX. Shooters will be engaging targets from approximately 50 yards to approximately 600 yards. \n\nGoal:\nTo provide relevant long range shooting information and techniques to improve each shooters ability to make long range rifle shots. \n\nEquipment:\nA centerfire bolt action or semi-automatic rifle equipped with a variable power optical device (Scope) capable of dialing in ranges out to at least 600 yards. Scope will work best with a Mil Dot\, Mil Radian (Mil Rad or Mil-R) or Horace reticle system. Shooting bags\, Bipod or backpack to lay rifle on for stability\, 120 rounds of ammo (please keep the type of ammo to one specific manufacture and weight/grainage for the duration of course) for the rifle. Notebook and pencil or pen and small calculator. Spotting scope and range finder\, if you have them. Eye and ear protection required. Hat\, sunscreen\, chair and snacks as needed. \nPLEASE HAVE RIFLE ALREADY ZEROED FOR 100 YARDS BEFORE ATTENDING. \nABSOLUTELY NO ARMOR PIERCING AMMO ALLOWED. PLEASE LIMIT RIFLE CALIBER TO 30 CALIBER. NO .223/5.56\, .338\, .416 OR .50. \nClass works best with your own rifle. If you just want to try long range shooting we will have long range rigs to rent and ammo to purchase. \n\nRegistation:\nClass size limited to 10 people.
