Crosby – Defensive Pistol 2

Students MUST have taken SGA’s Crosby Defensive Pistol 1 class, or receive Instructor Approval to attend the class.
Class Info
Class will be approximately 2 hours. All training will be held at SGA’s Crosby Tx., location.
Training will instruct students in the necessary skills to effectively draw from an outside the Waistband (OWB) holster utilizing DRY/LIVE fire training exercises to perfect these skills.
Skills Covered and Description of Training
Hour 1 will re-introduce the student to the proper Stance, Grip, Sight Management, Trigger Control, Recoil Management and Follow-through needed for Self Defense Shooting. Shooters will learn the proper hand placement and movement to maximize the fastest/safest draw-stroke and first shot placement. Students will begin with empty/safe pistols and progress to live fire drills at the instructor’s discretion.
Hour 2 will consist of various shooting exercises to further familiarize the student with the skills needed for a proper draw and first shot placement. Students will address targets from 1 up to 15 yards as the instructor sees the class progress. Immediate action drills and Emergency Reload Drills may be incorporated into the training. Students should bring 100-150 rounds of ammunition.
Note: SGA Crosby has ammo available for purchase for the class.
Equipment Requirements
- Outside the Waistband (OWB) Holster
- Pistol (that fits holster)
- Magazine Pouch/Carrier (2 – Spare Magazines)
- Eye and Ear Protection/Hat
- 100-150 rounds of Ammunition
- Shirt/Jacket to cover pistol when worn (Instructor may have students utilize a cover garment if the class has progressed to that point in their training.
